Saba Yazdani

Transpersonal and Integrative Counsellor

Approach and background

My approach to therapy is grounded in psychosynthesis, a holistic framework that sees each person as more than just their struggles. It recognises the potential for growth, creativity, and inner strength, even in times of difficulty. In our work together, we might explore past experiences and current patterns but also what is emerging in your values, longings, and deeper sense of purpose.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw from various therapeutic traditions, including existential, psychodynamic, and experiential mindfulness-based approaches. I’ll work with you collaboratively and at your pace, offering space for both the emotional and practical aspects of your journey.

The most important aspect of my work is the relational dynamic we build together. I value openness, trust, and mutual respect, creating a safe space where you can be yourself fully. I bring an open-minded and non-judgmental attitude, with the experience and resilience to support a wide range of challenges in a compassionate way.

I work a lot with people navigating transitions, whether that’s changes in identity, life stages, relationships, or career paths. I also support clients experiencing grief and loss in its many forms, not only bereavement, but also the quieter, more complex losses that often go unspoken. Holding space for these experiences with gentleness and respect can be truly healing, as healing often happens through being truly seen and witnessed by another.

As a third culture kid, I bring a unique perspective to my practice, shaped by a blend of influences. I grew up in Austria and identify with Germanic, South Asian, and London cultures.

With over twenty years of experience in corporate change consulting in London, including extensive work in diverse, global settings, I’ve gained understanding of cultural nuances and the intricacies of balancing multiple identities and roles.
