Alice Morgan
INTEGRATIVE PSYCHOTHERAPIST
Approach and background
Finding the courage to look at ourselves, our relationships, and our patterns of behaviours is a milestone in itself. I know from personal experience how daunting but ultimately freeing engaging in therapy can be. If you know exactly what you want to talk about or if you have absolutely no idea, we will start with curiosity and see where this takes us.
Perhaps you have a sense that something doesn’t feel quite right, or fear there is something wrong with you. It may be that you keep finding yourself in unsatisfying relationships or struggle to express your true wants and needs from others. You might want to deepen your understanding of yourself by exploring your history, and build confidence in your decision-making and coping skills.
I offer a safe, non-judgmental space, where you can explore the thoughts, feelings and experiences that shape you and be met with compassion and understanding. I believe that our past relationships impact how we relate to ourselves and others, with patterns tending to play out in the present. By considering these we can increase our ability to live as our most authentic selves.
I’m an integrative therapist, meaning I combine techniques from different approaches including person-centred/humanistic, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural and existential therapy. I will draw on what feels most supportive to your individual experience and tailor our work to your holistic needs. A quality, authentic therapeutic relationship is the most important factor in any therapy, so I focus on working relationally and allowing a collaborative process.
If this sounds like a good fit for you then do get in touch.
