Kristina Nilsson

Trainee counsellor

Approach and background

Do you feel lonely, disconnected, confused or fearful?

My name is Kristina and as a trainee person centred & integrative counsellor, I can offer you a safe and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely.

We live in world where we rarely take a moment to really stop and sit with our feelings. More often than not we turn to drink, drugs, food, sex or any other distraction to avoid feeling only because it is so painful.

We might struggle with relationships at home or at work and feel lonely and disconnected. There are so many reasons why we might feel stuck in life. Our world is increasingly difficult to navigate and many people just feel lost.

Whatever your struggles please know you are not alone.

I offer person-centred/integrative therapy and together we can explore what lies behind some of your emotional discomfort and distress. Sometimes we are fully aware of why we have a difficult time in life and sometimes we need someone to help us along on our journey.

I’m here to listen and hold space for you and your emotions.

My areas of interest are: anxiety and depression, domestic, sexual and financial abuse, alcohol- and substance abuse, low self esteem, relationship difficulties, divorce, the menopause and bereavement.

Training goals

I am also a singing teacher and choir leader and holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts of Music from the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. I came to London 1997 to study for a postgraduate diploma in classical singing at Guildhall School of Music & Drama and have stayed ever since.

As a student member of British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), I strictly adhere to their Ethical Framework and aim to work in an ethical and boundaried way where we both feel safe.
