Hemla Inman

English & French Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Coach

Approach and background

I work with an integrative approach, drawing from a broad toolkit to support individuals and couples of all cultures, gender identities, and LGBTQ+ communities in exploring a wide range of issues.

You may come to me feeling exhausted and disconnected while trying hard to keep it together on the outside. You might be anxious and stressed, struggling to fully relax. Relationship concerns, work pressures, and family or social dynamics can create conflict. Sometimes, all of this can leave you feeling lonely, sad, or even resentful.

Some difficulties may call for practical strategies and tools that we develop together to help you move forward. Others may stem from childhood or past experiences that continue to affect your present, sometimes leaving you caught in cycles of worry or self-doubt. Together, we’ll explore these patterns and their meaning, and work to replace them with healthier ones.

At times, you might simply need a supportive, non-judgemental space to process emotions, may be towards acceptance or change, but at your own pace, in a world that often demands you move faster than you’re ready for.

My work is grounded in my psychology background, NHS and coaching experience, and voluntary work with suicide. . In sessions, I adapt to your needs and welcome your feedback. Some sessions may bring intense emotion, others reflection or silence and sometimes laughter. The full range of human experience is welcome.
